For the first time ever, a World Triathlon Series event will be held on the continent of Africa with a race slated to be held at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa on April 26-27, 2014. The World Triathlon Cape Town race will serve as the second stop on the eight-city tour, which kicks off in Auckland on April 5-6. Cape Town is one of only two cities to debut on the WTS calendar in 2014, with Chicago also hosting an event for the first time.

Teaser Video: 2014 World Triathlon Series Grand Final Edmonton, Canada
All eyes will be on Edmonton, Canada, in 2014 as the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final returns to Alberta's Capital City. From August 26 - September 1, 2014, the world returns to Edmonton to race in scenic Hawrelak Park and though Edmonton's expansive river valley. In addition to the elite and paratriathlon races, the 2014 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final will showcase standard- and sprint-distance age group races, as well as an aquathlon, U23, junior and mixed relay world championships offering athletes the chance to compete in the same venue as the world's elite athletes.
