Super League Triathlon Munich 2021 | FULL RACE LIVE | Youtube Video Live-Streaming
After Hayden Wilde, Jess Learmonth and the SLT Eagles dominated in London on September 5th, get ready for another breathtaking day of racing, this time coming to you from Olympiapark in Munich on September 12th. The Super League Triathlon Championship Series takes place on four back-to-back weekends across September.
Legends have been made at Munich’s Olympiapark – and the stars of Super League Triathlon will have the chance to add their names to that list as the sport’s most exciting show moves to Germany for the second race of the 2021 Championship Series.
The Munich race will take part at historic 1972 Olympic venue at Olympiapark Munich, Germany. |
The event will be a first-ever visit to triathlon-mad Germany for Super League Triathlon, and a chance for the German stars to shine on home soil after competing in the Olympics. The Olympiapark was built for the 1972 Olympic Games and has become a focal point for elite sport in Germany and now it’s time for Super League to produce something truly breathtaking.
Watch Super League at Sport1 on race day
In Munich, the total of six race formats (individual time trial, super sprint triathlon, three each for women and men) are severely limited due to the organizer's hygiene concept and the event is sold out. In addition to the livestream on Youtube (possibly via VPN services), the Munich TV station Sport1 will still show on race day from 19:30 to 21:45 and from 0:30 (Sport1+) as a repeat.
Equalizer - Master of Persistence
The race format consits for both fields, women and men in total three races. Want to see how quickly these athletes can go solo with no drafting or pacing help? Then the Equalizer is for you! Favouring those with an aptitude for individual efforts, Stage 1 consists of an all-out solo time trial of either swim, bike or run – which the athletes race as a standalone event. The times taken here will set the scene and define the pursuit style start for Stage 2.
Stage 2 is swim-bike-run-swim-bike-run. There is a single Short Chute to be won on the first swim, and taken on the final run. Any athlete who falls 90 seconds behind the leader will be eliminated. The Equalizer will see the playing field levelled and racing in its purest form.
STAGE 1
Athletes race one discipline: Individual Time Trial (ITT).
STAGE 2
The athletes are then set off based on their finish times in the ITT in a pursuit style to tackle a continuous swim-bike-run-swim-bike-run. The winner is the first person across the line at the end of Stage 2.
